Drug and Adults Counsellor – South Wales

Our client has a vacancy for a Qualified Social Worker to work as a Drug and Adults Counsellor based in South Wales. This is a contract position with an immediate start. The pay rate for this role is £16 per hour depending on experience.

Duties Include –
- To carry a counselling caseload working with individuals, couples, families and key people, providing therapeutic interventions based on effective counselling methods in relation to substance misuse.
- To provide focused counselling in relation to general issues for employees of the Cardiff and Vale County Councils.
- To be an active member of a team providing appointment based services, limited home visits and a telephone counselling service.
- As part of your continuing professional development and supervision, you will be expected to tape/video examples of your therapeutic practice.
- To effectively record counselling activity through accurate record keeping and data collection.
- To liaise with appropriate professionals and services in regard to individual cases or working arrangements

Requirements –
You must have a relevant Social Work qualification (BA / MA Social Work / DipSW / CCETSW), be GSCC registered and be eligible to work in the UK.
